Cost: $350.00 Tier Two Core - After completing the first course of Tier One, the artist begins the Core Program of Tier Two. This Core is built on the primary concepts of all art theory and techniques. Students will explore the essential topics that prepare them for an artistic future where they can embrace either a Classical or Decorative Arts, or Watercolor path of artistic study. After completing the core studies which build the foundation for all tracks, students may choose to follow either one or both or all the Classical Track A,B,C. 


Tuition: $350.00 - Over 60 Lessons - Registration is ongoing, students may register for this course at anytime. The core curriculum will include all foundational theory and painting techniques through the exploration of the classical methods and applications of Western Art. Classical techniques that began in the 1400’s are taught. Painting exercises also include the exploration of historical painting techniques as well as the standard and general painting methods of today’s decorative painter.

Cost: $250.00 Tier 2 Track A - Classical Art Studies - Tier 2 - Track A - includes 24 painting Lessons 

Tuition: $250.00 This course explores the basic principles of classical art methodology and includes the popular painting techniques that developed in Europe between the 14th and 17th centuries. The core will examine the concepts of form, color, technique and theory necessary to painting in the classical tradition. Instruction will be given in the use of toned grounds, underpaintings, and grisaille. Both direct and indirect methods such as alla prima, velatura, and glazing will be explained with attention to the optical effects of layered paint and color perceptions. Classical art methods will be reinforced with the importance placed on the practical application of techniques.
Instruction: Streaming video demonstrating techniques, text lessons and resources.
Course begins 2010 Tier Two Track B - Contemporary and Historical Decorative Art - This course explores the basic principles of contemporary and historical decorative art methodology and includes popular contemporary painting techniques. Tier Two - Track B includes 31 painting lessons.

Tuition: $250.00 Course Opens: 2010 - Registration is ongoing, students may register for this course at anytime. The previous core curriculum will examine the concepts of form, color, technique and theory necessary to painting in these traditions. Instruction will be given in both direct and indirect painting methods such as alla prima, sharp focus realism, and impasto will be explained with attention to the optical effects of layered paint and color perceptions. Several historical styles will include, American Folk Art, Traditional European Folk Art such as Rosemaling, Zhostovo, and Hindeloopen methods will be reinforced with importance placed on the practical application of techniques.  Course begins March 15th 2010 Tier Two Track C - Watercolor Studies for the artist. Twenty plus paintings will take the artist through popular techniques. This track is a comprehensive watercolor study for the artist to build upon. Learn to work with the multimedia capabilities of Traditions Artists acrylics. 
Tuition: $250.00 Course Opens: March 15th. 2010 - Registration is ongoing, students may register for this course at anytime. The previous Tier two core curriculum will explore the concepts of color, value, technique, texture, opacity and transparency as well as the theory necessary to painting watercolors. Instruction will be given in wet in wet and wet in dry layering methods. Negative and positive applications will be covered as well as the optical effects of layered color perception. Methods will be reinforced with importance placed on the practical application of techniques in 20 plus painting lassons. Instruction: Streaming video demonstrating techniques, text lessons and resources.

Tier Three - Each Independent Unit study in Tier Three Track B - e.g. Birds, Wildlife, Still Life, Historical European decorative art, American Folk art, floral, landscape, etc. contains groups of 3 progressive online classes designed to train the teacher and/or to be used for personal self-study. If you wish to teach - Upon completion of any individual units in Tier 3 the potential Traditions Teacher has access to the TT Lesson Library of e-lesson booklets (for completed units) where they can select & purchase lessons that are licensed for teaching purposes. The Certified Traditions Teacher can then tailor their teaching curriculum based on skills, styles, & personal tastes. 

Tier Three Lessons - Students can select which ever genre they wish to study.
